Basic Information
25-Hydroxy Calcifediol, also known as 25-hydroxyvitamin D3,is a white to near-white powder or crystal that is sensitive to light, heat and gas, does not dissolve in water, and is easily dissolved in polar organic solutions such as ethanol.
Our 25-hydroxy Calcifediol is converted by vitamin D3 in the presence of vitamin D3 hydroxylase in the liver. However, our natural source of vitamin D relies primarily on the action of ultraviolet light from the sun, which converts 7-dehydrocholesterol into vitamin D3.These are the ingredients for the 25-hydroxy Calcifediol, which is the main form of vitamin D3 in our blood.
25-hydroxy Calcifediol is a biologically active chemical that is common in the pharmaceutical, health care products and feed industries, especially in the medical industry. It is used to treat metabolic bone diseases such as osteoporosis, rickets and osteomalacia,as well as hypocalcaemia caused by hemodialysis.Since the use of 25-hydroxy Calcifediol causes an increase in serum calcium levels,it is necessary to monitor the blood calcium regularly to avoid risk while the appropriate dosage is not determined.
